Silent Chasm

Hidden beneath the mountain like ravine, where the rock crumbles beneath the darkness is a luscious lake. Vast and open the water is cool to the touch yet warms when beneath the surface. The lake is almost ocean like, hidden beneath the dark exterior of the water lies an ecosystem of it's own. Schools of fish swim about coral and dips within the water alike. There are patches within the water that are actually bottomless pits beneath the surface. Diving down hundreds of clicks they are rumored to separate into underwater caverns with air in them, assuming one can withstand the pressure.
